Why just read about history, when YOU can make it!Florida's Historic Capitol Building

Since 1957, Florida YMCA Youth In Government has brought the best and brightest in our state together to experience the law making process first-hand, through our unique "youth-run, youth-led" process.

Florida YMCA Youth In Government has grown dramatically over the years and continues to develop programs for middle school and high school students with servant leadership and character development at their core.

Through the local YMCAs and YIG Chapters, students work together on debate practices, service-learning projects, fundraising efforts, and Assembly preparation.

We welcome you to explore our website and join us in celebrating our 50th anniversary!Presiding Officer being sworn in
