Democracy's Next Generation:
Youth In Government's Annual Support Campaign

Thank for you being a part of our Annual Support Campaign: Democracy’s Next Generation!

The Florida YMCA Youth In Government program is dependent on the constant support of participants, volunteers, and donors alike to ensure that democracy can be learned by each generation.

Your donation will benefit thousands of student servant leaders across our state, and help them on the road to becoming the future leaders of our nation and world.

Currently, our campaign is working to fulfill two key needs:

Creation of an Assistant Director position for the program: While Youth In Government has and always will rely on dedicated students, families, and volunteers to maintain its student-run, student-led process, expanding the program to new areas of the state and increasing our capacity for new delegates will require additional staffing at the state level.

Our new Assistant Director will work with our current Executive Director to continue our program development and expansion, as well as help to coordinate fundraising and out-reach to program alumni.

Creation of a YIG scholarship fund - Democracy’s Next Generation: This fund will serve to provide scholarships to qualifying delegates for our State Assembly and Junior Assembly, as well as other programs such as our Summer Leadership Conference and Florida’s delegation to the YMCA Conference on National Affairs

Donations may be directed toward a specific program area, event, or group. All donations are tax-deductible, and will go directly to the Florida YMCA Youth In Government program.

The Duran Society $10,000.00 or more*

*Donations of $10,000 or more come with naming rights for various programs and events

Advise and sponsor a new or existing YIG Chapter in your area! Nothing would be possible in YIG without the hard work and effort put forth by our chapter advisors around the state.
