Jr. Youth In Government
Much like their high school counterparts, Jr. YIG's middle school delegates form local chapters affiliated with their local YMCA However, high school students act in the role of mentor and student advisor, teaching these future YIG rockstars all that they need to know! This unique set Beginning in program year 2009-2010, 6th grade students who are part of a Jr. YIG Chapter may attend the annual Jr. Assembly with their 7th and 8th grade peers. Jr. YIG chapters are currently set-up at a few YMCAs across the state. These chapters may be a part of a Sr. YIG chapter or exist on their own. Please contact the State Office if you are interested in forming a Jr. YIG Chapter.

Participating in Jr. Youth In Government is an excellent way to grow a base for a high school chapter!! *Positions in Page Program at the annual High School State Assembly are limited and will be assigned via the State Office.
