Florida YIG is proud of its history and tradition of servant leadership and service learning.

Graduates of our high school programming who want to serve and mentor YIG’s next generation apply to be a part Graduate Advisors (GA) Corps.  This dedicated group of volunteers have long been responsible for continuing these traditions by providing the support and guidance necessary to plan and execute YIG’s various events – Fall Delegate Convention, State Assembly, Jr. Assembly, Leadership Trainings, etc., each member of the GA Corps works behind the scene to ensure that each generation has a meaningful experience.

 

Campus YMCA Congress:
The Campus YMCA Congress is a student-run national model government program that engages college students by developing their public service skills. Our mission is to train public servants as servant leaders, emphasize policy over politics, and make public service relevant to all college students, regardless of their field of study.

Delegates must be enrolled as an undergraduate student at a college or university, or be a high school graduate between the ages of 18 and 22.

As part of College YIG, delegates will have the opportunity to:

  • Found a College YIG Chapter
  • Hold Chapter Meetings & Debates
  • Host Civic Events on Campus
  • Serve at College YIG National Assembly
  • Mentor a Middle or High School YIG Chapter
  • Recruit and Network with Alumni
  • Access Internship and Research Opportunities.
